This policy explains what personal data WCT+ collects, why, and your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR.
1. What we collect
Account data (name, email, password hash), membership and billing status, what you watch and for how long, device and browser information, and messages you send us or post in live chat.
2. Why we use it
To run the service and your membership, to keep the service secure, to improve the catalogue and player, to show member-only content and pricing, and to contact you about your account. Marketing emails only with your consent, and you can opt out any time.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details. The provider acts as merchant of record and applies the correct VAT.
4. Video and analytics
Video is delivered by a content delivery provider that receives your IP address to stream it. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage in aggregate.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service (hosting, video delivery, payments, email, analytics), under contract, and where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and for a limited period after, to meet legal and accounting obligations. Viewing history is kept to power your experience and can be cleared on request.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Use the Contact page; we respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie for your settings. Analytics use no cross-site tracking cookies.
